BECKY BISWELL

About Becky
Our gatekeeper and company secretary. Becky controls the books and looks after all our supplier relationships and payroll. With the company since the day we started, Becky is also a full-time childminder and our cake baker extraordinaire!
SCOTT REYNOLDS
General Manager
About Scott
Joined the company in March 2014 as I really wanted to help develop the family business. Have been covering Hertfordshire, North / Central London since then looking after some key accounts and increasing business opportunities. Thoroughly enjoy meeting clients, completing demonstrations and supplying the right machine for the correct application. Outside of work I am a big family man and sports enthusiast.
ROBYN TAYLOR
Business Improvement Manager
About Robyn
Robyn is a third-generation Taylor in the business and has worked hard to gain a good understanding of the business. Working her way through all the departments and completing her two-year BAGMA management diploma Robyn knows how we tick and has a key role in the management structure. Robyn leads our business improvement across all departments as well as being a mum to fourth generation Oliver and Aubrey who both spend time with us at the works.
ANDY RUTLAND
Depot Manager + Sales Support
About Andy
Andy has been in the industry all his working life and has a wealth of experience and product knowledge. He could fill most roles in the business with that experience, from the workshop to being on the road and is happy, once again to be helping his customers in the Oxfordshire area select the right machines for their needs. He is also our go-to man for dealing with our in-house Suffolk ® brand as he knows the product inside out. Andy sees himself as a bit of a handyman about the house but might be known not to adhere to the old adage of ‘measure twice, cut once’. He can often be found down at our on-site lake, after work, in the summer months as he likes a spot of fishing. He has also enjoyed attending a few race meetings this year watching our landlord, Steve Hill, compete.
ANNE ALDERTON
Purchasing + After Sales Manager
About Anne
Anne’s our behind the scenes wonder, she works away at all our parts and stock inventory, buying, selling and controlling. Our Miss right or woe betide you! Out of work, I enjoy walking, eating out and socialising.
ANDREW GROUT
Area Sales Representative
About Andrew
Andrew joined us in 2023 after an illustrious 27 years as Head of Gardens at Woburn Abbey. Wanting a new challenge, Andrew is perfectly placed to advise on lawn care and ground care machinery, having spent many years in the industry buying, maintaining and using a wide range of machines in his role. He’s thoroughly enjoying being able to help fellow grounds professionals now across the range of customers that we supply.
Outside of work Andrew spends more time with mowers as a founding member of the Old Lawnmower Club, set up for the collection, preservation and display of old lawn mowers!
DARREN TARRY
Area Sales Representative
About Darren
Machinery runs through Darren’s veins! He tinkered with everything that has an engine from the age of 11, taking them apart and leaving tools and parts lying around, much to the annoyance of his grandfather! At 15 – and before his exams – he started his apprenticeship in an agriculture and horticulture dealer, studying and qualifying in Horticultural Engineering. Amazingly he went back to school for a few days to take his GCSEs that first summer!
Building experience as a Junior Technician, then in Parts and Sales, Darren has now enjoyed many roles in the sales department for the past 21 years, joining us for 2024. He loves looking after customers and building lasting customer relationships.
When he’s not working you may well find him in a military museum like Duxford, Portsmouth or Hendon … doing his best not to touch the machines!
JUSTIN WINFIELD
Workshop Manager
About Justin
Justin is a very experienced ground care machinery operator and has been in the agricultural and ground care industry for many years. With a career spanning operational and hands-on machinery maintenance, he has also seen the other side of the desk and has strong organisational and supervisory attributes. After 18 months of driving and supporting the team, Justin has taken over the role of Workshop Manager, managing both repairs and servicing, making sure that the products leave our workshop in tip-top condition for delivery to our customers. Outside of work, Justin’s passion is his motorsport.
GREG SWAIN
Senior Technician
About Greg
Greg is our ‘go to’ guy out in the field, spending most of his working days traversing the countryside fixing customers kit. He is very well respected by customers and peers alike for both his knowledge and work ethic. Greg started with us in the Risboro’ Turf days as our apprentice and after a short spell with Turners was ‘poached’ back into the company about 10 years ago. Greg has 3 kids and a mad dog (in that order) and enjoys taking them camping and the outside life. His idea of sport is anything on 4 wheels with an engine and would rather be coated in oil than clean.
STEVEN RUTLAND
Senior Technician
About Steven
Steven is a motivated, intelligent young man and is an incredibly valued part of our team. Steven left school after year 11, followed on to a year in 6th form before coming to join RT Machinery Ltd and following in his father’s footsteps; Steven joined us as an Apprentice and graduated from college in 2019. In his spare time, Steven enjoys anything to do with cars and getting out on the football pitch.
JAMES BATES
Senior Technician
About James
James was destined to be a technician, taking the family lawn mower apart at the age of 12 just for the sake of it. His Dad was not impressed!
He later followed his heart, completing an engineering qualification, and has been immersed in and around engines and ground care machinery ever since.
James joined us in 2023 and brings a real breadth of experience from his many years in this industry and beyond, having also spent time working on Land Rovers and other 4WD vehicles and driving artics.
Away from work, James is just as busy, providing motorsports safety cover across England and Wales, as well as tinkering with steam engines and vintage tractors. Oh, and he’s pretty skilled with amateur radio too. It’s a miracle he finds time to work!
MARK BUTTERFIELD
Technician
About Mark
Mark joined the company in 2017 and coming from a mainly 2-stroke background, he is our go-to man for issues with this kit. He also has a background in forestry but spends most of his free time on his passion of scuba diving, often instructing and training novice divers. Mark was warned about the ‘childish’ banter in the service department and has certainly fitted in well on that score and is happy to spread a few ‘digs’, at others, himself.
ROB MORTIMER
PDI Technician
About Rob
Rob’s been immersed in tools and machines from a young age, helping the family agricultural machinery business in holidays, evenings and weekends. He worked full time for the business after leaving school, also training as a car sprayer to add another skill.
Loving cars, Rob has also run a limo business and spends a lot of his free time restoring British cars from the 60’s and 80’s – think old Mini’s, Land Rovers, the Sierra XR4. That’s when he’s not out on his mountain bike!
We’re delighted he’s working with us now, building and preparing machinery for delivery. He has a real eye for detail and is enjoying working for a family business again, putting the final shine on PDI!
WILL BARNES
Transport + Installation Technician
About Will
Before joining us as a driver, Will built up extensive experience at the coal face of ground care, working as an arborist and operator for contractors, and later as Estate Manager. Along the way he helped to set up the grounds operation of a large contractor in Northampton.
His experience on the job is invaluable when delivering and installing new machinery for customers, as well as collecting and returning machines for the workshop. Will thoroughly enjoys the driving element of his job, as well as meeting lots of different customers and seeing a vast array of green spaces – often that the public don’t get to see.
He loves driving so much that when he’s not working Will’s typically still driving, willing to travel huge distances for car shows or racing. His young son keeps him very busy too!
CAMERON BOBBIN
Junior Technician
About Cameron
Cameron joined the team as an apprentice in the summer of 2018. With his keen attitude to deliver and his attention to detail, he is sure to become a skilled technician, and in fact, he enjoys the same commitment to workmanship when indulging in his hobby of model-making.
After a four-year apprenticeship, with delays because of Covid, Cameron is taking on bigger challenges here each day by getting involved in the important pre-delivery build-ups of larger machines as well as break down diagnostic and cutting unit setup.
CHARLI SLADE
Parts Coordinator
About Charli
As an avid Northern Lights hunter, we like to think that Charli “saw the light” when she joined us! Keen to grow in the role, Charli brings a broad range of experience with her, most recently shipping specialist lighting all over the world. Amazingly she is also a qualified jeweller having earned a degree in Jewellery and Metalwork in 2009 and worked in the industry for some years – you could say that attention to detail is in her DNA!
Charli loves being able to bring her golden retriever Amy to the office and has a ridiculously long list of hobbies outside of work … cello, guitar, baking, pyrography (look it up!) and macrame. And that’s not all!
KEITH DRISCOLL
Parts Coordinator
About Keith
Keith has worked directly in landscape gardening, farm contracting and parts supply for many years, giving him the perfect background for his role here. In fact, his experience with machinery and hard-to-find parts is second to none! Add to that his expert knowledge in computing systems and it’s easy to understand why Keith is an excellent problem-solver.
On weekends you can catch Keith as the resident party and Karaoke DJ at a local pub. Most of his time is spent chiefly fixing stuff while following the Grand Prix and Tottenham Hotspur. He’s also a cat dad to two Furry Minions Of Darkness: Socksy and Spot!
GARRY BATTING
Parts Assistant
About Garry
Garry has been working with parts almost since leaving school, starting with over 20 years in the motor trade locally before switching to ground and lawn care machinery parts. Having already worked with MD Richard for a number of years in that role, Garry was persuaded to join us back in 2008 and is as much a parts guru today as he was then.
Now working three mornings a week, Garry has a lot more time to enjoy his allotment, garden and family. Those grandchildren keep him on his toes!
LIZ REYNOLDS
Office Manager
About Liz
With a passion for caring, Liz has spent most of her career looking after others, whether with the elderly in care homes, the sick in hospital, young children in nurseries or, more recently, as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities.
She brought her caring skills to RT Machinery for several years in the earlier days, looking after the sales administration and helping out wherever needed. Liz returned in 2019 and is delighted to be helping ensure our customers get what they need, as well as working in the family business alongside brother Richard, plus her dad, sister, son and niece!
Liz loves spending time with her family and enjoying holiday in the New forest with her touring caravan.
