Husqvarna was founded as “Jönköping Rifle Factory” by decree of the Swedish king, and during the first years, the factory produced about 1500 musket pipes annually. The signature product inspired the classic “gun sight” logo that, although updated, is still used today. More than 100 years later the Crown transfers the company to a private owner and the name changes to ”Husqvarna Rifle Factory”.

By 1850 all production has been moved to Husqvarna, with production expanding to cover Sewing machines (1872), hunting weapons (1877), wood stoves (1884), mincing machines (1890), the first Swedish typewriter (1895), bicycles (1896), motorcycles (1903), gas stoves and the first mowers in 1918.

Today it’s still about the design and the special touches in ergonomics, safety, innovation and customer satisfaction inspired by a team of truly professional and passionate employees.
