Founder and coach, Gary Tetlow, told us that the coaching philosophy is more about player development and enjoyment than winning matches. “We have many good players, but equally boys who are less able – everyone is given a chance.”

The team plays in a regional league, traveling as far afield as Oxfordshire, Essex and even Kent, but Gary says they have many supportive parents so it’s not an issue.

Treasurer for the club in her “spare time”, Alison Scull said, “with no facilities as such, there are limited means of raising revenue to cover costs, so support like this is brilliant.”

How could we not support such a committed team of volunteers and enthusiastic youngsters?
