Aeration!
Putting the spotlight on aeration for sports pitches will help us deliver improved playing surfaces and fewer training and match postponements, particularly for grassroots sport.
Sports clubs and players are suffering first-hand the issues of compaction and water logging – issues which can be greatly alleviated with seasonal and ad-hoc aeration of the pitches.
Understanding what machinery is available to do the job and how it works is a great way to start thinking about what might be suitable for any cricket, rugby or football club. We’re very grateful to Stowe School for allowing us to film four different machines across their rugby pitches last month, with our MD Richard Taylor talking through the key features and benefits of each model.
One of those machines, the Selvatici Aeroking 300.80 has actually been in use successfully at Stowe School for some ten years and is still going strong! A great example of how the right machine can prove to be a robust and value-for-money tool!
