We offer the choice of two models in the Ryan Jr Turfcutter build:

RY744844H – Briggs & Stratton 6.5hp Petrol Engine.
RY744944C – Honda GX160 5.5hp Petrol Engine.

Heavy Duty Turf Cutting with long life
Both models are powered by the commercial petrol engine using a simple over centre spring assisted clutch engagement. The engine drives to the transmission with a tough and simple ’A’ section V Belt. The primary drive pulley drives the main gearbox where you have independent over centre plunger engagement to both the wheel drive and blade reciprocating drive mechanism.

The Ryan Jr Turfcutter has an easily adjusted blade depth control with easy lift and slide adjuster handles, the same process and principle is used to adjust the blade pitch.

Strong cast alloy pitman arm conrods with heavy duty bearings convert the drive from the gearbox to the blade mechanism.

The blade carrier frame is pre fabricated to accept alternative blade widths and attachments. The standard 12” Ryan Genuine blade keeps a good edge and is strong on the welds for long life.

A simple heavy duty rear wheel with click to lock for maintaining straight lines can be just as easily released to allow for maneuvering in the yard, following contours and tight turns on edges or loading.

The heavy dimple patterned front wheels give great traction yet are kind to the turf.
Grease nipples are easy to get to and in the right places for greasing in the working day and to keep bearings and pivots moving freely. Regular greasing and cleaning will give extended life.

Tubular front engine protector bar and cut out chassis strap points allow for good protection and safe lifting when loading or transporting.
