Groundsman Industries 460HD
Aerator
The Groundsman 460HD is a wider version of the 345HD, it has four heavy duty crank-arms in the aeration mechanism giving an operating width of 60cm (24″). This rugged machine is simple to operate and very stable on the ground giving 30% higher output than the 345HD for larger areas or for the maintenance of multiple facilities such a with councils or contractors. The 460HD accepts the full range of SC (spigot clamp) tine and holders.
The 460HD uses Groundsman’s elliptical plunge action mechanism for a clean surface finish with very little disruption and consistent depth. The fabricated box section tining arms in the aeration mechanism and bias-rod implement heads make the 460 extremely durable. The operating width is 60cm (24 inches) with an aeration depth adjustable to 13cm (5”). The forward speed is 45m / min (49 yds) giving up to 1600 square yards per hour coverage.
The shock absorbing aeration mechanism is driven with a large diameter crank and sealed for life bearings giving many years of trouble-free service with the minimum of maintenance. The front ground drive wheel is fixed in gear and the rear wheels are free for turning and manoeuvring the machine, raising and lowering in and out of work is tread bar assisted. The operator handles are mounted to the chassis using three-point shock absorbing mountings for low operator handle vibration levels (HAV). As with the 345 range, setup and operator controls are simple, making it the ideal contract / hire machine capable of working on fine sports turf or rougher surfaces such as estates and gardens with little surface disruption and consistent depth adjustable to 5″.
The 460HD can punch holes from 35mm to 75mm apart at 1600 square meters per hour (see technical specifications.) Quick-change Twin, Triple, Quadra, Quint and Cluster Tine Holders can be fitted using Hollow, Solid, Slitting or Star Tines from Micro to Jumbo. The 460HD accepts the full range of SC (spigot clamp) style tine holders for Solid, Needle, Hollow, Chisel, Star and Cluster Tines.
A Windrow attachment is available when Hollow Tining to row the cores for collection. A surface roller attachment can be fitted to smooth the surface when solid or needle tining.
