Message on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear Customer,

May I take time to share with you our operating status and update you on the efforts we are making at R T Machinery in relation to the Coronavirus Covid-19 Outbreak and our safety contingency plans.

As a business we are supporting many essential service providers including Facilities Management Services, Contractors big and small , Farmers, Water and Power services, HMP Services, many special sites and clients in a range of ways. This includes the servicing of generators; waste management machinery; grass cutting machinery for maintaining essential byways, roadways and keeping vision lines clear; arborist machinery for keeping power lines clear; general hire, general repairs of such and spare parts, as well as repairs for those smaller individuals or companies that will undoubtedly keep paths, hedges and driveways clear for the carers and elderly.

To ensure we support this network and our clients, our workforce has been split to manage at-work staff. Non essential staff, sales front line staff and administrative staff have either taken holiday leave or are working from home.

A reduced level, essential services and client support team are working here under restricted access to maintain our service taking calls, emails and enquiries, albeit triaged and dealt with as to importance or urgency. As of Friday 3rd of April we will be taking an extended Easter holiday, closing for two weeks and reopening on Monday 20th April, depending on the latest government advice and guidance – staffed as a support and care team.  

There may be some delays in the supply chain in spare parts and important components. This is inevitable as there are a lot of imported goods in the equipment that the industry services and uses. We have made contingency provision by forward-ordering many simple but key parts such as oil filters and service items.

Spare parts can be ordered through our Parts Email with provision in place for direct courier delivery or a pre arranged off-site pick up.  Service enquiries to our Service Email and all other enquiries including machinery requirements to our Information Email. Product is still available new and used, as is our hire and ex demonstration fleet as needed.

I will be able and pleased to discuss any requirements or needs from our customers and especially from anyone in those front line services of the NHS, Police, Fire, Emergency or Military that needs help in the garden or field. We will do our very best to support you.
