The safety of our customers, colleagues and the communities we serve is paramount. We are making decisions daily to ensure we protect everyone during this period.
Our Store Opening – Staying Alert, Doing it right, safely.
From May 11th our store – Brackwell Farm – will open to the public for pre ordered collection, service booking repairs and pre arranged product viewings, drop offs or demonstration.
In addition to the new social distancing measures, the store will operate shorter opening hours on Monday to Friday, opening at 8.00am and closing at 4.30pm. Saturday reverts to the trading hours of 8.30am to 12.30pm.
Initiatives that have been successfully deployed through our restricted access trials are being rolled out to ensure customers can visit us and shop safely, whilst colleagues remain protected.
Each of the departments will limit the number of customers at any one time, while clear signage and floor markers will advise customers to keep two metres apart from themselves and our staff.
Additionally, perspex screens have been installed at the reception and service stations and colleagues on the shop floor will be using PPE. Sanitising stations have been installed for customer use and the stores will only accept approved account, card and contactless payments.
Home, Site or Business Delivery
We are pleased to continue to be able to offer a social distancing home or site delivery option for our customers.
As these are particularly busy periods for us, we no longer have availability for Next Day delivery on most lines and locations but will do our best to get to you asap. We are releasing more delivery slots daily so please check with our teams by phone or email to make arrangements.
We will conduct deliveries in line with guidelines and follow our disinfecting and safe handover procedures. We will require an open area to pull up, safely unload and deliver. Some products may not be available for home delivery where social distancing rules cannot be observed.
Click and Collect
We are operating a contactless Click and Collect service for our customers which will be operated outside of our store. Our collection times are a little longer at the moment due to high customer demand but we aim to have your order ready to collect within 8 working hours. Please do not travel to the store until you have had confirmation that your order is ready as we will be unable to provide your order if it is not ready.
• You will be able to collect your order at the front entrance to our store in the customer car park Quarantine area. Please ensure you have received your confirmation email or text to say your order is ready and bring your order reference with you when you collect your order.
• A colleague will meet you and provide your order, ensuring that social distancing rules are adhered to.
Click and Collect orders can be placed online Monday – Saturday using our email firstname.lastname@example.org. Orders can be collected from our store in line with our opening hours and details on our home page www.rtmachinery.co.uk.
Servicing and Repairs
We are experiencing a significantly higher number of calls and emails at the moment so please bear with us. You are unlikely to experience long wait times but we may need to take your details and get back to you. If your call is not urgent then please contact us on the email address below.

We are able to book site repairs and servicing as well as drop off and service, or collect and return, all conducted within guidelines and to a high standard of safety.
Machinery Demonstration and Advice
We now offer a FREE virtual demonstration service. If we have the product you’re interested in we will run it up and do a walk round demonstration and talk through its features – if it’s possible to demonstrate we will do that for you too and email you a link so you can view your own personal demonstration.
If you require an on-site demonstration, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will assess how it can be done safely, as well as introducing you to our demonstration policy and booking procedure. One of our team will then be in contact to arrange an appointment with one of our experienced Demonstration Consultants.
We are available 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am – 12.30pm on Saturday.

May I take time to share with you our operating status and update you on the efforts we are making at R T Machinery in relation to the Coronavirus Covid-19 Outbreak and our safety contingency plans.
As a business we are supporting many essential service providers including Facilities Management Services, Contractors big and small , Farmers, Water and Power services, HMP Services, many special sites and clients in a range of ways. This includes the servicing of generators; waste management machinery; grass cutting machinery for maintaining essential byways, roadways and keeping vision lines clear; arborist machinery for keeping power lines clear; general hire, general repairs of such and spare parts, as well as repairs for those smaller individuals or companies that will undoubtedly keep paths, hedges and driveways clear for the carers and elderly.
To ensure we support this network and our clients, our workforce has been split to manage at-work staff. Non essential staff, sales front line staff and administrative staff have either taken holiday leave or are working from home.
Our customer care and service team are here for all those with stock, tractor and machinery repairs, mowers and equipment, machine hire, supply and parts needs.
There may be some delays in the supply chain in spare parts and important components. This is inevitable as there are a lot of imported goods in the equipment that the industry services and uses. We have made contingency provision by forward-ordering many simple but key parts such as oil filters and service items.
Spare parts can be ordered through our Parts Email with provision in place for direct courier delivery or a pre arranged off-site pick up. Service enquiries to our Service Email and all other enquiries including machinery requirements to our Information Email. Product is still available new and used, as is our hire and ex demonstration fleet as needed and social distancing is maintained with all deliveries.
I will be able and pleased to discuss any requirements or needs from our customers and especially from anyone in those front line services of the NHS, Police, Fire, Emergency or Military that needs help in the garden or field. We will do our very best to support you.
