BRUSHCUTTERS
We have a fantastic range of Brushcutters and Rough Cutters for you to choose from!
Here at RT Machinery, we have been championing the “Etesia Attila” or ride-on brushcutter since their initial launch into the UK market by Etesia UK in 1996.
Etesia Attila professional brushcutters are designed to cope with the most difficult conditions. They are ideal for second homes, meadows, orchards, fallow land, verges and embankments. Very robust, but also extremely manoeuvrable, they guarantee unrivalled effectiveness in rough and tough conditions.
The first Etesia Attila 85 (AV85) launched in 1996.
The principles owe their success to well-proven cutter design used in agriculture for many years – a simple principle similar to a topper of getting material in and out of the deck without sapping power or blocking through clumping. This is achieved with a good open front deck access and an exit of material through a clock face pattern of three o clock through to seven o clock. A strong central bar blade turned by a large v belt pulley ensures its torque and power without the need for high rpm. The twin swing tip blades have a little give if needed and are easy to rotate for a new sharp edge or to remove for sharpening. Pop all this into a low centre of gravity chassis.
These basic principles remain the same from the original Etesia AV85’s and Orec Rabbits we first sold, to the powerful 4-wheel drive units that we sell from Iseki, Etesia, Billy Goat and Orec today that complement the range.
We have tried and tested most and firmly believe the build quality and capability of our Brushcutters give us an unequalled range and choice from stock. There is a quality feel to these units right down to the last nut and bolt and that’s important when you are relying on their strength to get you through difficult brash or across difficult, sloping terrain.
We believe in these products and as such offer you a minimum of a 24-month warranty on any new Brushcutter, with up to 36 months if they are serviced annually by a competent engineer with original parts. We will also help you identify the right machine for the job, demonstrate and deliver – with an installation – using our own team, straight to your door. “Seeing is believing” as they say, so take a look at our video clips or contact us to arrange to see one in action.
We also have a range of alternative Brushcutter type machines or Rough Cutters to compliment the Attila’s and Ride-on Brushcutters.
With the tough pedestrian tracked or wheeled Flail Mowers from Orec, the pedestrian Attila AH75 from Etesia and the Ventrac Tough Cut Mower, we probably have one of the best ranges you can see in one place. Add to that lot an armchair controlled remote Brushcutter on tracks from X Rot and we have a selection for any task!

Orec RM60W Rabbit
Ride-on Brushcutter
with Twin Offsets
In the Champagne region of France, where the price of farmland is incredibly high, not a bit of space can be wasted and the space between the rows of vines is narrow – only about one metre.
OREC, therefore, commercialised a Ride-on mower with an extremely narrow body width: the RM60G. This became a hot topic among growers, and a year later, more than 100 of these models were running around there. Today, the Ride-on mowers are also used on farms of the leading champagne brands Moet & Chandon and Dom Perignon.
Today the RM60G has developed into the RM60W, with offsets on both sides.
Thanks to its extremely compact size and low centre of gravity, the Rabbit Mower manages to be very agile and fast when mowing. If you have uneven ground or hollows, the front pivoting wheel axle always allows a safe and easy advance.
The retractable mobile wing appendages combined with the external rubber protection preserve the trunk of the plant during mowing operations, avoiding any kind of damage.
The outer wing extension retracts when an obstacle contacts the protection wheel or by simply pressing and releasing the control pedal. A lever on the top of the wingtip allows the wingtip to be lifted, with the swashplate disengaged, when moving.
Orec RM830 Rabbit
Ride-on Brushcutter
The RM830 Drives like a go-cart and will make brush clearing fun and easy! With two flail blades on either end of the centre blade and a rock-solid spindle, you can take down woody material, tall grass, and thick brush. This entry-level model of the RM Series makes brushcutting quick, easy and with little physical strain on the operator.
Many professionals attempt to cut brush using an ordinary riding mower. As they quickly learn, these riding mowers are not designed for rough use. As a consequence for taking on hearty brush and thick, tall grass, ordinary mowers easily suffer belt brakes and damage to the spindle.
By contrast, this machine has added extra reinforcement and minimises damage through innovation in its design. In addition, the OREC Ride-On Brush Cutter’s low centre of gravity and locking differential feature makes this riding brush mower easy to operate, even when tackling slopes.

WHY THEY LOVE IT
Orec RM982F Rabbit
Ride-on Brushcutter
“After more cutting in woodland, uneven and steep areas and through brambles, I am more than pleased with the performance of the Rabbit.I have been able to do significant areas slowed only by the roughness of ground and negotiating obstructions. In particular, I like the driver stability given by the width of foot spacing, the extremely precise and subtle speed control, and the fast change steering knob. Exceeded expectations. I’m very pleased with my choice.”
Orec ZHR800
Stand-on Tracked Crawler Flail Mower
The Orec ZHR800 “Zero Turn” hydrostatic stand-on flail mower achieves incredible work rates with double the working capacity of a tracked flail mower from the HRC series. In fact, in the best working conditions, the maximum speed of the ZHR800 is 7.5 km/h against the 3.5 km/h of the HRC813 model.
The operator has a much improved wider view compared to a traditional flail mower and in an emergency, the operator can dismount from the machine causing it to stop immediately. With fingertip controls and a powerful Honda GX390 engine, this machine is a pleasure to use both in work and in travelling to the working area.
The ZHR800 is also equipped with 4 useful strapping or load securing points for when transporting the machine. Thanks to its compact dimensions it can easily be transported on small and medium-sized vans.
The cutting unit is adjusted for cutting height electrically on the flick of a lever and the 80cm flail head can be lifted almost vertically to facilitate cleaning operations and maintenance of the knife drum. This lifting angle is only permitted for maintenance.
Ventrac HQ682
Tough Cut Brush Mower
The HQ682 Tough Cut Mower is designed for mowing high grass, thick weeds, and heavy brush. A large baffled front opening helps direct materials into the deck and helps hinder debris from escaping.
Three heavy-duty blades counter rotate to cut and deposit waste evenly without windrowing. Capable of tackling saplings and large thorn bushes, the Tough Cut makes short work out of overgrown thickets.
The Tough Cut can be adjusted to three cutting heights: 3, 3 5/8, and 4¼ inches. Easy servicing of belts and pulleys is provided by the hinged and removable cover. The tilt-up deck provides easy access to the blades.
